Privacy Notice

How RestoPOS collects and uses personal data, and your rights under UK data protection law.

Last updated: 15 October 2026.

This notice explains what personal data we collect through restopos.com, why we use it and what rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

The data controller is RestoPOS Donanım ve Yazılım A.Ş., Armağanevler Mah. Sırt Sk. No: 58-60B, 34760 Ümraniye, Istanbul, Türkiye (MERSİS number 734071355900001).

For any question about this notice or your personal data, contact us through the contact form on our Contact page, or by post to the address above.

What personal data we collect

We only collect the data you give us through the forms on this website (quote request, contact, "we'll call you" and reseller application forms):

  • Your name and the name of your business or company.
  • Your email address and phone number.
  • Your city, where the form asks for it.
  • The details you choose to give about your business, such as its type, number of branches, the solutions you are interested in, the system you use today and your message.
  • The page the form was sent from and the time it was sent.

We do not ask for special category data. Please do not include it in your message.

When you visit the website, our web server and our security and content delivery provider process your IP address and basic technical information (browser type, page requested, time) so that the website can be delivered and protected against misuse. Our form system uses your IP address only in memory, to limit repeated submissions; it is not stored.

How we use your data and our lawful basis

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote or call you back, because you asked us to: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
  • To assess a reseller application: steps before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
  • To deliver the website securely and prevent spam and abuse: our legitimate interests in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • To keep records of our communications with businesses: our legitimate interests in managing customer relationships (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share your data with

Your form is sent to our team by email. We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website and our communications, and only as far as they need it:

  • Our email service providers, which deliver and store the messages sent through the forms.
  • Our web hosting provider and our security and content delivery provider, Cloudflare.
  • Our solution partners, only where you ask us to put you in touch with one.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

International transfers

RestoPOS is based in Türkiye, so the information you send us is processed in Türkiye. Some of our service providers may also process data in other countries.

When personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we take the steps required by UK data protection law to keep it protected.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiries and quote requests only for as long as we need them to deal with your request and to keep our business records, and then delete them. If an enquiry leads to a contract, it is kept for as long as the contract requires.

Technical logs kept by our hosting and security providers are deleted in line with their own retention periods.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of your personal data.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your data.
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it.
  • Object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests.
  • Ask for your data in a portable format, where this applies.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, see the "Your data protection rights" page or contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
